Talk to me about boobies!

I had a lift and have to say, my cup size really didn't change much. I was a sometimes D/sometimes C cup; now, I am firmly (ha!) in a C cup. The band size did change a bit, from 36 to 34.

I love my lift. But I didn't really consider implants since anything B and up was ok with me. The doctor assured me in my case I would have a C cup.

I got 525cc silicone under the muscle implants.  No lift was needed.  I love them!!!  The silicone feels a lot more "real" than saline.  Everyone who has felt them say how natural they feel and they are correct.  PS suggested different sizes and made recommendations based on my body type.  And of course tried several sizes always with a t-shirt.  They will be 3 yrs old in Nov.  I am very happy!!

I'm hesitant to get silicone based on several things....possible leaks and the whole illness scare that happened years ago, the maintenance of them (I've "heard" it's more than with saline), etc.  Did you have any of these concerns?

Thanks for your input!

Yes, you must do the research.  I do know they are much safer than they were years ago.  But when I felt a ladies saline implants, they felt like water balloons.  Not natural at all.  Maybe they were just the type she had, I am not sure.  A  MRI is recommended at one point for leakage.  I have had 2 mammograms with no problems either.  They just took a few extra pics.

Make the decision you feel comfortable with.

I went through the same debate as you. I went back and forth in the beginning. I made my choice when I met the right surgeon. The previous surgeons I consulted with told me that I could not get a good result without implants. They were wrong!!  I had a lift, no implants and I am thrilled! I was a 40DD pre weight loss, 36D post weight loss and now I am a 34 full C or a D depending on the bra. I am stil busty but now they are perky and wonderful. I too am broad shouldered and have a large ribcage and my breasts look totally proportionate and fit my body very well.  I am so glad I didn't get implants because I don't have to worry about all the possible things that go alone with having implants. I have pictures on my profile if you would like to see them PM me. Best to you on your decision. God bless you.

I'd love to see your pics.  Do I need a password or to just friend you?

So, the surgeon you ended up going with....did he just do a lift or did he use other tissue to fluff you up?  Do you recall his technique?

Thanks so much!

I had auto-augmentation which is also called a spiral flap.  They rotate your side boobs into your lifted boobs.  I stayed a 36 DD.  I wish he had taken me a little smaller even though this was my typical thin size. Just a personal preference.  Research as many procedcures as your can.  You will get the most fullness in the top of your breasts with implants.  Loris

Both. I need to add you as a friend and give you a password. I will add you now and PM you my password. Please don't share my photos with anyone. Thanks.

My surgeon just did a straight-up lift, no fluffing, no adding anything. Just took off the excess skin and lifted them up with the standard keyhole incision. I had a thoracoplasty done at the same time.

You are welcome so much!

I was wearing a 34A after the weight loss. I had absolutely NO stuffing left, just a tiny bit of skin that sagged. All my consults suggest both a BA and a BL. I chose to go with just a BA (250 cc) silicone under the muscle. I was told that I needed silicone because I have no tissue to cover it and the saline would be too obvious. I'm now a 34C and very happy.
