Talk to me about boobies!

I've always thought that I did not want implants, even if it meant I ended up with teeny tiny boobs.  I do need a lift.  Well, as I lose more and more I find myself now considering the idea of implants.  I've ALWAYS been busty, even when I was thin, so for me to now find myself really looking at ending up a B or smaller is so strange.  I'm thinking I may get to a PS and have him say that there is nothing to lift....I'm mostly skin now with very little fat.

So, did you have a lift without augmentation?  If so, how much smaller did you end up?  Are you happy with your results?  Do you wish you'd had implants?

If you had BA, are you happy with your results?  Do you ever wish you just had a BL?  Did you get silicone or saline and why did you choose what you did?  How did you determine what size you wanted?  What is maintenance like?

Thanks so much for your comments.  I'm just starting to really think about all of this and hearing from those who have gone before me helps a lot.

I was always big chested too. After my weight loss I was all skin and not much tissue at all. A lift would have made me maybe a B cup if I was lucky. I have broad shoulders and a large chest cavity. Having a B cup would have really made me look disproportionate. I had saline implants under the muscle. I chose saline just because they can stay in you longer. My surgeon said he preferred silicone to be removed and exchanged routinely after a certain number of years. I also didn't like the idea of having to self-pay for expensive MRI's to have routine screening done on them. I have not once regretted my decision to have implants. I love my breasts now. They are full and perky.

If I do implants I am leaning towards saline under the muscle as well.  How long are they "supposed" to last?

In my research and reading it stated that implants have an average life span of about 16 years. Some women had reported having them 20 years without any problems.

I just had my lift...and did not do implants...I was pretty saggy...tissue sagging at the bottom but not much up top...rolling and tucking I was in a small D, large C...I've also always been busty...FULL DD before WLS...anyway I did the lift and I'm smashed into a D right now with the swelling but he says when things finally go down that I will still be a mid C...which is fine with me considering my frame size etc....I don't have any desire to look like Dolly Pardon...lol...

So far even with the swelling etc, I am still extremely pleased with my results and glad I didn't do implants...My right one has already dropped and settled and is looking great...the other is slowly getting there...but I love what he did...

I have before and after pics I'd be willing to send you in private if you'd like, just let me know...

Hi,
So, did you have a lift without augmentation?
Yes I had a lift/reduction without augmentation.

If so, how much smaller did you end up?
I was at goal and wearing a 34G, mostly long, mostly skin that I had roll and fold into my bra. I am now a 34B.

Are you happy with your results?
Yes I am very happy. For the first time in my life I feel proportionate. No more shoulder pain, I can run, I am not dressing around my boobs anymore.

Do you wish you'd had implants?
No I am glad that I did not get implants. It is nice knowing that the option to get implants is there if I ever change my mind but right now I am very happy with my small boobs.

Good luck to you.
Ole

I was a saggy 36 DD (or probably E) post WLS and had a lift without implants. I am now a 34D. Victoria's Secret is my new friend, and I still look very busty! Plus, I no longer have neck and back issues!
