Lifestyle lift vs Facelift

Has anyone had a Lifestyle lift and if so, what are your comments on this subject.  It's supposedly less invasive than a face lift and less $$.  Don't have any facts  just getting underway with it.. see lots of commercials stating you get this procedure done in an afternoon and your back to work !  Too good to be true?  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what 265 people think of it on a non-biased, non-commercial review website:

http://www.realself.com/Lifestyle-lift/reviews

In summary, it looks like about 50% were merely unhappy, while perhaps 10% had some sort of mishap.  There are some (with photos to prove it) that had some more serious complications.

Of course, they also had their staff post a bunch of fake reviews and got fined....

About 3 months back a OH member posted that the Lifestyle lift is a scam.  She had several links in her post to back up her comments.  Unfortunately the search feature does not work well on OH.

Sorry, I could not find the link for you, but the poster did a lot of Google searches and had a lot of detail.  I don't know if the poster had the procedure but she had a lot of information because she was considering having it.  If I have time tomorrow I will look some more.

PS - I am NOT a doctor, just another OH member concerned that we get the best procedures for our money.

it is to good to be true. I went for a consultaion for that and then I spoke to my PS about it and he said it was not a good idea. I have heard that u can see the string tightness. on some people.

So I did have a facelift from my wonderful PS and I went back to the med spa where I had the consultaion for the lifstyle lift, ( I go there for Laser hair removal on my lip) an I saw the women who  worked there that worked with the surgeon who by the way is not a PS he is a vascular surgeon, and when she saw me she loved my face and said I would have never gotten those results with the lifestyle face lift. go figure and she was trying to sell e on the lifestyle lift. I had no
trouble or pain from my facelift excet the bruising and it waws a little sore, u can see the pix on my profile

Here's a link to an interesting read on it.....Basically it talks about how the Lifestyle Lift is a one size fits all facelift and that's not a good thing. As individulas we have different areas that need more or less attention. No surgery should ever be deemed as a one size fits all.

Take a look at the doctors credentials who offer it.  Many are not even surgeons.

I saw that and the "one day workshop" as training is a big red flag to me.

I heard the lift only lasts about two years and its difficult to get a real facelift after you have had  lifestyle lift. It sounds good until you look closer. If you have extra skin from weight loss lifestyle lift is not the way to go.
