Guys,
I had a TT on Tuesday and my lower belly looks good but my upper belly has a big fat roll still.  Is this because he should have given me a fleur de lis TT and chose to give me a regular TT?

I saw the doc today and he said the day of surgery I was tight with what he did, and that my upper roll is just swollen.  But you can imagine my shock and horror when the bandages came off and I still see this big upper fat roll.  Like am I destined to have a muffin top the rest of my life???

Please let me know when the swelling will go down and please I hope someone here will tell me to listen to the doc or that they had a swollen upper abdominal that went down with time.

I am scared!

Where did he cut you from? My surgeon is going about 4 inches about my BB to pull it down.  I have not had PS yet so I am not from experince, just what he said.  Did he discuss removing the upper tissue from the fascia and pulling it down to the lower portion of your abdomen?  Mine stated that is what he will be doing.

Hello,
I haven't had the procedure yet but a few of my friends have. Question #1 did you have any liposuction also.  My friend had hers done and she still has a little muffin top. The surgeon she had said that she would need lipo to correct the area because she had a lot of extra fat in that section. I have been approved for mine but I will not be having it until the end of November.

I hopt the swelling goes down.   Muffin top is the main reason I want a TT done.   I would be so mad to pay the money and go through surgery and still have it left!

It depends on how your body is built and where your excess skin and/or fat is located. Your Dr should have been able to tell you what procedure would give you the best result. A TT on one person may leave them totally flat with no roll and it may not on another. You will need to wait until the swelling subsides some more to see if it is just swelling. Even if the roll stays and you get lipo, you may ended up with a little bit of loose skin afterwards. I hope that is not the case for you. An anchor cut defintely would have helped with the muffin top though.

I had a LBL and still have a roll of skin on one side.  Its pretty depressing, but I know its alot better then before.  But I can tell you it looked waaaaaaaay bigger when I was super swollen...even now when I swell up a bit more, it looks bigger.  So give yourself time to heal up and the swelling to go down and see how it is.

Yes ladies I have decided I need much more time to let the swelling go down before I judge it. Yesterday the upper roll looked smaller. And when he held it in his hand he said, "i just have to remember what you looked like IN surgery, you were completely tight and this is just swollen". So I am listening to him and being optimistic. I have also made the decision that I should not seek perfection. If I still have some fat up top, like Missy said, it is worlds better than before surgery. I just have to let go that desire for perfection or else I could get a new addiction: plastic surgery. I need to stay logical. Also, I am 28 and am getting married in December. We plan to have kids someday so I figure I will need ANOTHER TT after I give birth haha...Missy, can you tell me when you got the clearest picture of what your tummy looked like without swelling? Am I looking at a three week wait, one month, etc. to get a pretty good idea?

I still have my muffin top and I HATE it! I told my doc to do the anchor cut but he didn't feel like I needed it. Well, he was wrong. I hated my muffin top before and I hate it now. My lower belly fat was always concealed in clothes I feel like I still have the same issues that i had before. I'm going back in to meet with him soon to talk about a revision. He said if I was still unhappy at 6 months that we'd readdress the issue and I just hit 7 months, so I guess it's time. :(
