I was 11 dpo when I saw him again yesterday....My drains are gone!!!! YAY!!!....the left one was still draining a bit of fluid...kinda border line on where he'd of liked it...but he felt it wasn't enough at this point to warrant leaving it in...hope it was the right decision...I didn't feel the left one come out at all...the right one was tugging on something as it wound it's way out...a bit of a tight tugging and sting...but nothing too awful...glad they are gone!!! My stomach actually kinda clenched down and tightened as he was doing it...and it hasn't loosened back up yet...he said give it a few hours to a day to reliax....I also got kinda woozy....fortunately I was laying down...and that passed pretty quickly...

They also removed my belly button stitches...thank goodness it was numb...she had to dig out a couple of them and I ended up bleeding...ack!!!...but overall it looks good...all steri strips are gone...the incisions are all closed and looking good so far...he said no need to "dress" the incisions anymore...just keep wearing my binder...I did still put "padding" between the binder and my incisions...anyone else do this and if so for how long?...I do wear a tank top under my binder...is this enough or do I need the extra padding?...the less I can get by with the better...lol

He said I can start scar therapy....that I can use silicon strips and then to massage the ointment in after showers in the evening and in the morning and wait just a bit before putting the strips on...

I go back and see him in 2 weeks unless something comes up before then....he also approached the topic of a revision while I was there today, without me even getting a chance to get to the topic...lol...I was planning on it...he beat me to it...and it sounds like now that some of the swelling is going down, he is leaning more toward excising more skin....he says it can probably be done in office...which freaks me the hell out, anyone ever really had that done?....but, that's all still a ways down the road so I'm not going to freak about it too much...it just put me at ease that he was very up front and proactive about fixing it this time....and he is as pleased with the breasts as I am at this point....anyway...was a good appt...just hoping things go really well the next couple weeks until I see him next....

The appt. really wiped me out...so I've been resting a lot...and still don't have a lot of energy this morning...but it'll get better....I just have to remind myself it's only been 12 days and I need to drink and rest and not try to set any recovery records...lol....it's ok to take the time needed to heal...it's still early and going to be awhile!!

My surgeon also brought up the subject of a possible "skin removal" revision at one of my early appointments. He said it would be done in-office, under local anesthetic and was so minor I could drive myself to his office on a Friday afternoon and be back to work on Monday (of course, I don't work so that's not an issue). I go next week to see him for an early 6 month appt.; I'll let you know what he says then. He told me he doesn't usually do ANY revision prior to 6 months because of the swelling.

Good luck.

I wore mens small "wife beater" t-shirts under my binder - I didn't need any additional padding and it worked great.

I HATED drains and was SO happy when mine were out!  Life was good after that...

Now - I need scar revision and my surgeon mentioned that.  I'm supposed to go see him later this month, but he's 4 hours away.  Not sure if I'll make it sooner rather than later.  He said it would also be an "outpatient - in the office procedure".  Kinda freaked me out too.

Take care of yourself!  Take care of those scars.  I don't heal well and knew it going into the PS.  So I just have to deal with it.

I haven't needed a revision on my tummy tuck but a friend did and they did it in the office and she drove herself home. It was about a six in*****ision. They don't go deep so its not as bad as surgery and its still numb. Good luck on yours.

I bought some boys undershirts to wear under the binder.  They were cheaper and fit nice and tight so they did not bunch up under the binder.
