rash on breasts?

I am sure I am on my own here, but I thought I would throw it out there see if anyone has had this or has heard of it.  I had a breast lift 5 weeks ago with very little discomfort.  At about 2 weeks I got a rash on them, its worse above and to the sides a little but a light itchy rash covers the whole breasts (they are about the same in severity).  I assumed it was an allergy so I washed all my bras in ho****er with out soap (they are all materials I have worn forever, some are preop sports bras I wore and I dont have new soap or any trouble anywhere else).  Its still happening.  Its really itchy!!  I put a little cordazone cream on the worst part (not on incisions) when I cant take it. That seems to cool it off a bit.  However, I tried benedryl just to see if it would help and it didnt seem to.  I was on other meds when it started but am off everything now.

I just cant figure out what could be causing it.  Could it be related to surgery?

Sorry, Misseye, I don't have any ideas about what could be causing it, but wanted to say I am glad you are on the mend. Hope all continues to go well for you-

I have itching in several locations.  On my stomach, right around the top of my pelvic bone and my legs are the worst.  On my stomach though I have a rash that comes and goes.  The one spot looked like ringworm and when treated as such, it cleared up.  If it persisted, I would have seen my primary.

I'm far out enough that I don't think it's related to the surgery, then again, the general itching started after surgery.

For as much as I say "see your surgeon," I haven't called mine just because there's not much he can do without seeing me and my travel is currently booked out until mid-October.  The one weekend I had a chance to see my primary, it faded.  Since then I had 36 hour weekends and I just could not get into her office.

I did find a soap in a health food store here that really seems to work well with itching.  I cannot remember the name of it and the packaging is long gone.

Also, since your incisions are newer and you've had post op problems, it's more imperative for you to ask your ps.  If mine flares up again, I'm either calling my primary for a Saturday visit or trying to adjust my travel plans to see my ps - which is something that would be a little more challenging.

Are you by chance using Vitamin E oil to rub on the incisions? A lot of people have an alergic type reaction to Vit. E oil. I have also heard that prolonged use of neosporin can cause skin irritation.

I have super sensitive skin so I get all kinds of rashes :/  But after my BA/BL, I have broken out into a small rash on the upper part of my breasts.  Doesn't itch but I read in my paperwork that it's common b/c its your skin reacting to being so stretched.  I never paid any mind to mine b/c I acne all over and little bumps :/  Mine is still there, 5 weeks out but it has gone away some.

BUT, I had a TT as well and I have very itchy spots!!!  Sometimes it welps up so I'm not sure if its the binder I'm wearing or what.  Again, it's not anything new to me (I also got hives after surgery from pain meds) so I just itch and go on about my business lol...
