Eating after TT....

Ok so I'm really finding this challenging and frustrating....I obviously have good restriction to begin with...but add to it this binder I'm cinched into and it seems like it restricts even more...It's not too tight...seems just right, until I go to eat....then just a few bites of food and I'm feeling miserable and sick....I already eat frequently throughout the day because I eat such small portions....if I undid my binder every time I ate, and waited for the food to settle, I'd have it undone way too much and would be swollen as heck and hurting....I have been taking my vitamins and drinking a lot of nasty protein shakes...sheesh I hate those things...blech!!!!....but i'm forcing myself to do them...anyone else have this problem? and if so how did you deal with it?...It's going to be a long 6 weeks at this rate....

I felt the same way. I lost another five pounds because of it. I plan to remember to wear my binder if I ever need to lose a few pounds.  I kept wearing it until the seventh week, now I only wear it when I start swelling, it depends on what I do each day if I need it or not now.

Yes - I had this too.  Did you have the vertical cut with muscle tightening?  I figured that was what was causing the additional restriction more than the binder for me.

I had the muscle tightening...but no vertical cut....it's extremely tight around and above my belly button...can't stand up straight yet...lol

I was standing upright after a few days - but its been 9 months since my surgery and when I get up in the morning or stand up from a sitting position even now after a long time, its still tight.  I notice I hold my hand to my tummy a lot during those times.  Not painful - just tight and it loosens very quickly.

Yes, I had the same thing. Not sure if it was the binder or the muscle tightening but everything felt tight. Like the other posted I too lost weight during this time. I believe after a few weeks it did get better.

I have wondered this too.  I am scheduled for an anchor TT and Thigh reduction a week from Tuesday.  I have purchased some protein shakes in anticipation o not wanting to eat alot but want to make sure I get in my protein.  I would love to lose a few more pounds but with my luck I will gain from not exercising...lol.  I am very nervous but excited too.
