Thanks so much everyone...after talking to the surgeon and his nurse, the surgeon got me a new pain medication...Nucynta(I'm allergic to morphine and percocet so we had to avoid those)....it's a miracle drug...lol...1 tablet is working good for me and it lasts about 4 1/2 to 5 hours before it starts wearing off and since I can take 1-2 every 4 to 6 hours it's all good....it makes it tolerable to at least move a little bit...to be honest there is A LOT of pain....which I expected, but not quite this much...and before this new med my skin felt like it was windburned and raw all over...very sensitive, sore and tingling to even put a sheet on and anywhere the binder/bras were touching felt like they were on fire.....

I also got to loosen my binder a bit today....I was talking with the nurse and was having a hard time getting a good breath...and she said we need to loosen the binder...that they put it on really tight at the surgery center and now that I was swelling, it was too tight....so I got the first peek at my new tummy today...everything looks awesome...except an area around my belly button...for lack of a better description it looks like I have dog jowls on each side of my new belly button......like my belly button is in a crater or something...the nurse told me they noticed it too...but by that time they couldn't do anything about it...that laying flat it looked great...but when they put me upright to check my breasts, the noticed it and the dr. was not happy with how it was laying....but he has said let's give it a 2 or 3 months for some swelling to go down and that he would do what was necessary to fix it if it didn't settle in...to me it looks like there is still excess skin there....they said the dr. tried to explain it to me after surgery but I wasn't really with it enough...I was pretty emotional and upset over it this morning...but as the day has gone on I'm realizing freaking out over it isn't going to help matters or change anything...and the surgeon will fix it....if it needs to be....and who knows it may settle in and be fine...so I've calmed down and am focusing on healing....

I get to unwrap and see the girls tomorrow when I shower...I'm really nervous and excited about that....the surgeons nurse said they looked awesome though...and she's been very honest with me so I trust her....

I'm majorly swollen...my thighs and rear end seem huge...lol...and under my arms beside my breasts look like square blocks...lol...moving is tolerable some of the time when I have to get up and go to the bathroom etc...but I feel like I'm the hunchback of notre dam and frankenstein all rolled into one...just kinda lumbering along...thank goodness for pain meds....

Nina-
I am so happy to hear that you have gotten the pain meds worked out.  Good pain management is such a blessing and it is our right as patients.  Try not to worry about the belly button right now.  You are swollen and that may distort things.  And if it does not resolve on its own your surgeon will be able to fix it.

Just keep taking it slow and easy.
