I am about two and a half months post op from a LBL and BL, but I am having huge variations on my weight. I am swinging about five pounds. (I believe due to swelling. My rings will not budge on my hands in the morning).  Any experiences? When did you weight finally calm down?

I'm 3 months out from my first surgery and 2 months out from my second surgery.  I had less swelling and weight fluctuation after my first surgery, so I'm thinking that the fluctuations I have now are more of a result of the second surgery.

I know when I work out or do long walks through airports, my legs swell.  It's part of the process and the number on the scale can be maddening at time.  What I try to focus on is how my clothes fit.  Since it's mainly my legs that swell, I know my pants/skirts should all fit me fine.  The other thing is that I keep food journals so I know my eating is not out of control.

Between those two markers rests my sanity.  Although there are days I literally flip the scale off.

Still fluctuating about 5 pounds at 5 months post op. Like Lisa, physical activity KILLS ME with swelling. It is so bad I am considering STOPPING my exercise routine again. Last night I looked like one of those redneck guys from comedy central.....you  know, with the big beer gut?!? Ugh, maybe it wasn't that bad but it was BAD and uncomfortable.

Just try to keep very consistent with your eating; that way, you can be sure it is water and not what you're eating. That's what I'm trying to do, anyhow, 'cuz I don't want to wonder "am I blaming this on swelling, when it's really weight gain?".

Good luck.
