On Monday I had panniculectomy, monds lift and inner thigh lift.  The first three days of pain were really intense but I am feeling much better now and taking 800MG of tylenol a day as the narcotics made me super itchy and constipated.  I have so much more energy since coming off them.  I even went shoe shopping with my sister today as a little out of house excursion.

The drains are still in and there is leaking around one of the drains which is messy but the docs do not seem to be worried,

Thanks to all for your support.  What will I find to obsess about now?

Warmly,

Beth

Oh jeeze, I'm 5+ weeks out from breast reconstruction, tummy tuck, and thigh lift and hoarding my last percocet LOL  I'm such a wimp!

I had copious draining around one of my drains until it was removed so if the Doc's aren't worried you shouldn't either.  Just keep an eye on it and keep the dressings clean.

I had drainage around my drains in my thighs after my LBL. My Dr wasn't worried about it and told me to take a 4x4 fold it and cut a slit in it so the drain tube would fit kinda in the center and then tape it. Worked really well, you just might have to change it a couple times a day depending on the drainage but it does help w/ the mess.

Congrats.

Leaking around the drain is fairly common.  I had it with some of my drains but not all.  The fluid's in there and it's going to come out somehow.  And it's better the fluid drains than to have it back up and turn into a seroma.

Sounds like you're doing great.
