Update on me

So I am still not 100% clear on what happened. I didnt get to talk to doc after my surgery and only have limited memory of what hubby told me...

But I had 2 large hematomas, one might have had an infected area. I came into the hospital Sunday afternoon, had surgery to remove them yesterday and clean the whole area. Also had a blood transfusion and plasma and some IV antiobiotics.

I am feeling tons better. I feel better then I have since my original LBL 2 weeks ago. I feel a little bummed cause I have 2 new drains, am having to recover from another surgery (guessing starting back in they gym isnt happening soon) and I am super swollen cause I cant wear my compression so seeing that it was "worth it" isnt really here at all (I dont feel like I look a tiny bit good). I still believe (hope) it will end up being worth all the complications I have had, but cant imagine going under the knife again anytime soon.

II am pretty sure my complications are very rare though.

still in the hospital.  I think they might release me tonight.  Doc is in surgery all day I think.  Good idea about compression, I am HUGE.  Scary huge.  much uch more swelling then any time in the past 2 weeks.

My poor butt, there is a bad spot where the hematoma came out.  WOnder how any of this is going to look.  I just want to get better but it will suck for this all to come out bad looking on top of everything...yah know?

Hi Missy!  I'm glad all went well in surgery and that you are finally feeling a bit better.  I think the hardest part for us gym rats is staying away from our routines.  I'm not looking forward to that part either, but it is what it is.  Feel better soon and keep us posted on your progress.  And keep your chin up...there WILL be good results at the end, it's just gonna take a little longer to see them : )

I am glad you got to hospital and they are taking care of your problems. IV's always make me swell. I hope the swelling goes down and you will be back to normal soon.

Home.  Feeling more pain then after my first surgery.  The staples in my butt and the drains really are hurting...
