REVISION of Brach Surgery ( scars widened)

Had the arms done 18 months ago and having to have revison as the scars widened ALOT,
Has anyone else had this happen
I am hoping it wont do it a second time and since i dont know what caused it , NOR does my Dr , I am kinda worried .

 Hey there,
Yes, mine widened big time and I had to have them fixed. I am 8 weeks out now....they are widening slightly but nothing like before. 
I wear compression, I don't weight lift on my arms---and I use tape on them and Scarguard. I did this all last time too! :-(

How long did you tape before and did you tape across , not uo and down as someone said.  I did not as was not advised to do that ..

 I haven't done my arms but my thighs did the same thing. One leg (scar)is about an inch wide. I thought it had to be the way it was done and my docs fault. My doc didn't have me wear tape or anything after the ace bandages came off at six weeks.

DId you have a revision and how did it turn out ?   M Dr didnt have me tape or anything either,,,just wore the compression garment for about 8 weeks and that was all ,, I am wondering if the taping would have made a difference ?

Interesting.  So could you do this taping technique on any scar anywhere on your bod?  Are there spaces between the horizontal pieces of tape?

 I am still considering having a scar revision. I go back for my six week check on  my LBL next week and plan to discuss options . I don't know if tape really helps but my LBL scars are so much better than my thighs. I think it has more to do with how good the doctor is.
