I think I remember reading that someone who went to CR for her plastics tried a forest canopy zip line. There were several who had done them, and felt one was much better than another. Does anyone remember this post, or who it might have been?
I'm having plastics with Dr Pino in CR on the 23rd of Sept, and decided to line up things like seeing hatching baby turtles at the beach, the volcanoes at night, and zip lining through rain forest to distract me for a few weeks before I'm cut (I'm really nervous and need the distraction) but recall some definite pros and cons about the zip lines, and thought the post was here on the plastics board.
I'd also appreciate any other info that might be specific and useful in CR.

Hi There!
I don't know the answer to your question about CR but I do know I live in Olympia too and was excited to see somebody else so close.
I am ready to start looking into the Restoarative surgery now too after losing 200 pounds with my lapband.
Can I ask you how you decided on your surgeon in CR?
Did you see any of the surgeons here in WA?
Anything else you want to share?
Michelle

Hi Michelle!
I've seen very few on OH from WA, let alone Olympia.
I know we need surgeons that specialize is post-WLS skin. It's not only excessive compared to normies, but has been stretched and doesn't act the same, so I knew I was limited in surgeons that way.
I talked to several near Seattle, and really liked Dr Dry's results on post WLS folks, but it would have been over $60,000 to get just the basic things fixed, and my insurance won't cover zip. I also had a consult at the University of WA with that program, and the prices were good, but they only do one procedure at a time, and when you need tummy, legs, arms, breasts etc, that would be too many surgeries. The U of WA surgeon would also only do a panni, with no belly button, and I want a full TT. My skin isn't as hangy as many here, so I was a little concerned about his ability when he said that.
I looked into surgeons ANYWHERE that had the right training and certs and had happy customers. I asked to see as many pics as possible of the procedures I wanted from each surgeon. I read here and places like PSJourneys for about a year, looking at different surgeons work, and reading what people liked and didn't like about each. What their strong and weak points were.
I like a lot about Dr Sauceda in MX, but in the end decided to go with Dr Pino in CR. I've been too scared to actually take the final steps for surgery, so once I decided, I've planned it all within a few days, so there is no turning back, lol.
My fiance is going with me, so we are going to add a few weeks of vacation before the surgery to do bucket list things in CR like see hatching baby sea turtles and hike up the volcano and do zip lines in the rain forest to distract me before the surgery, but it's hard to plan it all at the last minute. I recall posts on here maybe a year ago when some were discussing the ziplines in CR, and I can't find that post, and hoped some of them were still around.
If you find a PS near Olympia that you like, let me know. I'm sure I'll need more stuff done in the future!
