I had the auto augmentation and I could not be more pleased.  I had lost a lot of the "fullness" in my butt and the lower body lift would have made that even worse.  The auto augmentation gave the upper butt a nice shape.  I am 57 years old -- I was 55 when I had this done.  Incidentally, my LBL was done in two surgeries.

I don't know from Adam about crescents and all of the technical stuff that Muffin describes.  My surgeon made an incision straight across my backside where it met my TT scar.  The is no dip in the middle and no scar at the bottom of my butt.  The scar is low enough that it is easily hidden by my underwear and I can wear a two piece (bikini) bathing suit without the scar showing.

I *just* read this exact thing on  a plastic surgeon's website like yesteday! Sorry, I can't remember which one. It said for addressing loose skin at BOTTOM of buttock .. then you need the Lower Body Lift.
Which you are scheduled for so you should be good.
IF you have a flat ass, it will Not fix that! You will be smooth and have no wrinkles.. Yay! But it will still be flat.
some plastic surgeons will do a fat transfer from your lower back during the surgery and transfer it to the top of the buttock! This gives the buttock a fuller look.
Dr. Agha is one doctor who does this!
Other doctors do the LBL without the fat transfer and either way you won't have those layers of wrinkles all in a row STACKED on top of it each underneath each butt cheek. Yes, I have them TOO. I am sure there are Many of us who have them just as *bad* as the other we just don't post pics of it LOL.
I plan to post pics of my butt before I get my lift so that others can see that they are not alone , and that other people have butts just as bad as theirs LOL
I also have had the same thought. That everyone's pics do not look as bad as mine.
if you pull up your own skin and look at your rear end that should give you an idea of your result.
Since you say in your post you don't care if you have projection (fullness) of the upper part of your bottom and only care about losing the wrinkles then I would say you are good to go!
You have the correct thing scheduled

Loretta :)

I had the LBL with auto augmentation and I have been very pleased. I still have a little bit of wrinkles at the crease of my butt but I'm okay with it. It looks ten times beter than before. Sometimes it just depends how much skin you have and where exactly it's located. I know some surgeons actually have to cut the skin off at the butt crease for extreme cases.
