I don't usually post on this board I pretty much stay on my surgeons'.  But there are very few people that post pictures past the 6 week mark.  I promised myself I would try to keep up so people can see the real look of scars.

Well I decided to post my 4 month pictures early (about a week early), trying to make myself accountable. I'm almost 4 months out from plastics. Profile picture password is plastics and you must be a friend.

Not sure if this llink will work but I did a before and after collage thing last month.  No new pix on the collage but definately shows the great things plastics and Dr. Sauceda can do for a WLS patient.

Toni~

All I can say is WOW, great results, and you had all this done at once?  What would you rate the post-op pain for each area and for how long?  I had an open RNY - very painful.  Just found out I have a tennis size hernia upper stomach on the incision line.  Thinking about making it a hernia repair/tummy tuck combo, for now.  Waiting to see the surgeon and find out how much more the tummy tuck would add to the bill.

Thanks for sharing ~

Yes I had everything done at once in a 10 hour procedure.  I knew I couldn't afford several operations and have weird blood pressure issues and didn't want to keep taking chances.  My RNY was a breeze I went back to work after a week.  I stayed in Mexico 2 weeks after this surgery and stopped taking pain meds after about a week.  I did take Advil to help the inflammation.  I am very lucky and have a pretty high tolerance for pain I suppose the legs were the worst but it was mostly from swelling not incision pain.  I had drain issues and they came out too early so my body had to deal with alot of extra fluid build up.  I think drains are the worst to deal with but of course a necessary evil.  They repair hernias all the time with a tummy tucks or LBL.  Most hospitals bill for each procedure separately and it seems like a rip off.  Good luck and I hope your doc can do both for a reasonable amount, it sure would be easier than 2 recoveries!!! Compression garments suck!!!

Thanks for posting your pictures.  I bow to your ability to recover from so much surgery at one time.  I couldn't have done it; certainly not without a great deal of whining, drugs, and chocolate!
Congrats on your great results!

You really look terrific, and I'm happy to hear that Dr. S combines these surgeries.  I'm actually wanting to have these same surgeries.  Can I ask what your total bill was, including the 2 week stay?  I've started saving but have so much more to go, though it will be a year before I'm ready.

You look so fabulous!!!

Hi Robin, Thanks,
I didn't see your post until laugh out loud sent me a note I guess it replied to her post so anyways...
the total was $13,500 for TT, BA/BL, full thigh lift and full arms.  This included the hotel stay and hospital and all meds etc.  I used our Frequent Flyer miles to get there so he didn't have to reimburse me for airfare.  I think that is why he didn't add to my bill when I changed procedures when I got there.  Airfare is usually $600-700 dollars from what I hear.  I paid almost 80 to use my miles. If someone goes with you they can stay at the hotel for no extra charge.  Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions,  Toni
