feeling very self conscious
Belly looks flat and incisions look good. What more could you ask for?

I was going to just answer and ask - Why does it matter what other people think? If you are happy with how you look - isn't that all that matters?
Anyway - I was curious, so I looked at your pics. I think they look great. No reason to need to dig for compliments to feel better - you should just feel good looking like that!
Enjoy your new life!

Thank you everyone, I really feel so much better. They say there comes a time that one becomes depressed a little after PS. They say it is due to the changes in your body and what not. I am on another forum for TT, and I got really jumped all over for not using a board certified PS. I was told how messed up I was going to look and how no general surgeon could possibly do a good job.....Well I am at the stage now where everything is lumpy and my scar was not healing well in the front, and I guess I hit that depressed stage and just really started wondering.
You All however have made me feel a lot better. I found comfort and support in this website when going through my RNY and I once again find comforting and honest words of wisdom and advice. It is so good to know that I am right where I should be and I don't look all butchered up.
Thanks again

I totally understand your motive and need for a response. My RNY doc used to perform these procedures also. He doesn't do them anymore, they dont usually take the time to stitch everything. I saw one he did and he used staples the entire incision. Not sure if that is normal or not, but I had never seen them used before in plastics. Most bariatric surgeons can do several RNY's a day and have it down to an exact science and timing. So plastics isn't productive for them financially or otherwise.
The main thing is your are happy with your results. I know you did your homework when you picked your RNY doctor to start with, so why not use someone you already had a relationship with and that you trust. I think it was a smart decision for you. The depression will pass and you will be loving your body!!
