Tummy tuck incision question

I'm 5 days out from tummy tuck (and ba/bl). I had lots of skin so my Dr. made 'darts' in my skin at the TT incision. Looking at it now, it looks horrible. But my PS swears my skin will smooth out. Will it smooth out? Did anyone have that and they ended up with a smooth scar?

Not too sure what you mean about darts, but I did have a couple of puckered areas that did smooth out. They bothered me but now they are gone. When your out far enough you should be able to massage them and hopefully flatten them some. Good Luck...

I didn't have darts but one surgeon I consulted with was going to use them . I think they will flatten as they heal. The whole purpose is to give you more of a waist. I think you will be happy in the long run.

Yes, Toni, lots of puckered/bunched areas. I'm glad to hear they will smooth out. It was my Dr's intent to pull as much as he could from the sides by doing this.
