dumb question about mons and LBL
I'm new on this board so I apologize for asking a dumb quesiton. I did try to look back on old posts but couldn't find the answer. What is "mons"?
I have my LBL scheduled for Oct 28th. I was only focused on losing this giant pile of flesh on my lower belly but now after reading some of what you guys are saying...sounds like there will be some side benefits like outer thigh and the ummmm private area? Since they are going all the way around, that means my butt will look smaller, right?
I'm really not dumb, its just that I was a bit shy at the appointment and forgot to ask some things I should have.

Ask your surgeon how he will deal with the mons area. Some do lipo in the area others just pull it up. But you want to be sure it is dealt with effectively. As to the effects the LBL will have on the butt. I had my tt and butt lift in two procedures. When I had the butt lift my surgeon did the auto augmentation. He said that with having a flat tummy if he did not do the augmentation my butt would have been so flat I would not be able to keep my pants up.
You are going to just have to muster your courage and speak up about these things. That is the only way to be sure you and your surgeon are on the same page. If you do not think you do it, then by all means take a friend along who can ask the delicate questions you are too shy to broach.

I had an extended TT (with an anchor cut) in late June--not a LBL. My surgeon was able to lift my mons and do some lipo so it no longer looks like I have a scrotum! It actually looks pretty good. There are some pix on my blog, but no nekkid ones of my mons, sorry to say!
