EXTRA SKIN AFTER TT
I had my 1st tummy tuck done in January 2009, (muscles tightened also), followed by a revision in November 2009 to get rid of extra skin that was due to elasticity. I am now 9 months post revision, and have to admit it looks great, but my skin is starting to relax a little again around the middle, everyone says (including my hubby) they don't notice it but I do, maybe I'm a perfectionist who knows? I went for a follow up yesterday and the dr said he can't do anymore otherwise my hairline will end up around my neck!! LOL (he didn't quite use that wording), so I guess I have to live with this.
Is there anyone else out there this has happened to and is it wishful thinking that I want to look like Madonna at age 51??
Would love some feedback and validation please.
Thanks

Muffin, thanks for your wonderful insight and knowledge. I understand this blog totally, but I guess due to my age and not expecting to have a 25 year old body again in this lifetime (and to do so would mean I'd look like the bride of Frankenstein with all the suture lines), I just accepted the looseness in my tummy. I found out at 56 years old, that purchasing Spanx is a LOT cheaper, and I get the same effect! LOL. Trust me though, I don't knock anyone who has the patience, time, and finances to do it. Perhaps I might see things different if I had all that, but for now, I'm thankful for what I do have. I was blessed to be able to have the panni done, brachioplasty with revisions (4 weeks out as I type), and glory be to God a breast lift. With the exception of a very stubborn spot on my arm, I am doing well at 4 weeks post-op! As you stated, I've learned to understand that the swelling takes many months to fully go away - and until it does, the final results are not realized by far. Patience is the key. :)
Take care my friend and thanks again. BTW, this is my home computer log in name. I'm also "newlifeagain". :) Had to have 2 accounts due to problems logging in. Oh well...
Always,
Rose
