 Hi ya all,
Seriously, how can an incision open up at 6 weeks? Grrrrr! :-( I have another spot on my side incision that has popped open. I am so over this----My fear is that when it opens a little doesn't it make me bigger, since it isn't pulled as tight in that area? UGH!

I am whining! I KNOW! LOL!

Thanks for letting me!

I had spots on my thighs that would pop open at five months out. Something to do with one kind of stitch they used that was supposed to dissolve and didn't so my body was rejecting it. I would keep it taped. If you have silicon use it if not use paper tape.

I literally FEEL your pain.  My incisions from my arms down my side that meets my back incision and breast lift incision had been sore and TIGHT since day one.  About 2 weeks ago when I went back to work it was sore from wearing my bra that has ribs on the side so then I wore a sports bra and it was a little tiny thing a little blood ooze.  Well it opened on about Wed/Thur and is about a good nickle size.  Sometimes we open when a stich is finding it's way out cause our body doesn't absorb it so check to make sure it's not one of those because it has to be pulled out or you'll never close.  I noticed a stich FINALLY at my upper thigh opening and low and behold I pulled that sucker out (did it before with PS ok etc) and it's starting the process of closing.  I haven't seen one on my arm thing but I'm guessing it's open cause it was to much pressure there yada yada.

It's all that goodness working it's way out.

I'm going to just say to call your ps - this is one of those things you just don't want to guess about.  An open incision, regardless of size is at risk for infection.
