incision between butt cheeks

I saw the doctor today and yes I have a vertical incision between the cheeks from the V  at the top of the "crack". He said its a way of hiding any dog ears and was developed by the doctor who started the LBL  in the beginning. He said lots of people do it that way and the guy taught it in KC before he died. Guess it makes sense. Its hidden unless you pull on the cheeks.
I am pleased with my results and they only place that bothers me is the crack. He said it is healing very well. I am 17 days out today . I still have tenderness where they lipoed my thighs but not much pain other wise. My muscles were tightened and do not hurt. My belly button does look a bit crooked but it is mine. The circle is so tiny I can hardly see it. I think I got really lucky and got a great doctor. By the way he is a resident@KU in Kansas City Ks. His name is Dennis Dass and he is great.
I just hope things continue to go this well.

Glad your doc gave you the answers you needed.  I had the same "triangle of terror" after my lbl as well.  It didn't cause me any problems - just a strange feeling there.  It was the last thing to heal on my lbl, taking about 3 months, so hang in there.  My surgeon studied under Dr. Lockwood also, so I imagine our surgeries were similar.  I'm thrilled with my results too.  Hope the rest of your healing goes as expected!

Hey Red!
My doc works at KU Med Center, but I'm not going through the residency program.
My facelift was rescheduled for this Tuesday, so I'm cooking and freezing meals and preparing to stay home for 3 weeks until I am healed.  I'm excited to get it done.  I may even post a picture or two finally, ha!
Thanks for asking!

Good luck with the facelift, Cindy. I absolutely love my results. You will look like you were hit by a train for a bit but the face seems to heal quickly. I would love to see some pictures of your results. I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday!

It sounds like your surgeon is a good one. I hope your healing continues to go well. Take it easy and push the protein!

I am having the very same problem. All my other wounds have healed but that one-- it's very hard to keep dry so the skin gets macerated-- and it pulls because of the location. I am keeping clean gauze kinda 'tween the cheeks and a piece ot tape to keep it in place as it drains. Hope yours heals soon!
