 Hello,

I had Gastric Bypass 5 years ago and am in need of a serious arm lift.  I am considering it, but am concerned about costs.  Can anyone let me know what the average cost is?

I would appreciate it.

 Hey there,

Do you need an arm lift solely or also the skin on sides of chest removed? This will make a difference in price. Also, keep in mind, sometimes arm lifts need to be done in two rounds if you have massive amounts to lose! :-)

I think I would only need the arms done.  I don't have any excess skin on the sides.  I do have elbow pockets full of fat so I may need lipo as well.

I don't have the line item invoices with me, but I do know that my surgeon fees for my first round of plastics was a little over $9K.  You can see in my siggy what I had done with my first round, in addition to my arms.

So the braciaplasty and thoraciplasty (the slide flaps that MommyT mentioned) are included in that.  Not included in that pricing is the hospital fees, which were something like $4700.

I see that you're in Lorain OH, I'm in Cleveland.  If you haven't started consultations yet, I went to Dr. Leedy at Hillcrest (www.drleedy.com).  I am really happy with him, his work and his staff.  If you send me a friend request, you can see my pictures.

I was in Lorain.  I just recently moved to Atlanta so I will be looking for a Dr. in this area.  However, I would be willing to travel for the best surgeon.

Thanks ladies for your help.

I had brachioplasty in April...after losing 130 pounds with my lap band...my cost was around $6,000.... I had an excellent surgeon.(I had 3 different consults, and although my surgeon was the most expensive of the 3, he places the incision on the underside of the arm & you really can't see it....worth the extra $$!!)  I am very, very happy with the results & will be even happier once the scars fade more....go for it! It was the only plastic surgery that I truly wanted to have, and have been completely happy that I had it done! Best of luck to you!

I had my arms done (not the sides of my chest) with the inner incision, so you cannot see them when you look at me, even in sleeveless shirts. My surgeon, at a major Chicago teaching hospital, charged me $4,000. Since my insurance covered my TT at the same time, this is JUST the surgeon's fee.
