Compression

I got my compression garmet at my pre-op appt yesterday.  It doesnt seem too awful.  I wear a size 10/12 and the surgical assts said I would need a 1x.  Then the office manager said 3x!  I ended up getting an XL.  My friend told me it should fit now due to swelling after.  So I tried it on.  It fits...but it isnt like super snug.  How much compression is it supose to give?

I guess they will put one on me in the hospital too so they will know what fits.

Right after surgery, you will need the larger size to accomodate the swelling.  You will go down in the following week or so till you get to the next smaller size. Sally's estimate was right on with me. Can you believe your surgery is almost here?

I wonder about how much compression I need also. If it fits my tummy and rear ok the waist and upper legs are loose. I have been wondering where I need the most compression. I am very short and most roll down at the waist because my rib cage is right there. I figure I am just weird. I plan to ask this question at my next visit.

What kind of compression garment did you get for your lbl? I'm supposed to have an abdominal binder. But then it states a girdle type for my thighs? I worry about the girdle rolling ip on my legs. Been thinking about ordering one of the full body compression suits?
Did anyone have theirs rollbup on their thighs?

My surgeon gives them out, I dont know what type.  They ater high waist to knee...but it didnt seem to roll.

They said after 4-6 weeks I switch to spanx?  Ugh!  I am so over under garments!   I want to wear cute panties (for the first time ever!)

I am seven weeks out, and my SPANX are to me, what Lynos's (Peanuts) blanket is to him! I am so attached to them (they feel SO good!). The feeling of compression from the SPANX is very comfortable.

One week out, I was having a swelling issue of my labia majora (the compression garment is crotchless, and all the compression from the garment was making THAT area swell), so I was moved to SPANX very early out. I am wondering if that may have caused the tremendous about of tummy swelling I have now.

Oh, and during my two, one hour "daily rest periods" from my SPANX, I wear cute panties... just to make me feel sexy!
