2 weeks out... looking for advice
I had a tummy tuck and breast lift on July 14th. Things have been going pretty well, but I notice that when I take a shower, I feel nauseous. Sometimes it's worse than other times.. and the strange thing is that standing, in general, is not a problem. I've been out and about some and I've been alright. It's really only a problem when I take a shower. Wondering if it has to do with tipping my head back to wash my hair.. and I intend to try a different approach tomorrow to see if that helps, but wondering if anyone else had problems with this so long after surgery.
Thanks for any input.

Same thing would happen to me when I would shower. It does go away. Hang in there, luckily all of this is short lived and in no time you will feel like you again only better! Congrats on your surgery and recovery. God bless you.

It should be getting better soon. I had the same problem until about 3 weeks out. Part of it was the removing of the compression garment and rest of it was blood pressure.... some days were better than others, but I always used the shower chair just in case. Better to be safe. I had to take it real slow from taking the garment and dressings off to finally getting in the shower. Laying down in between sometimes. Just take your time and don't ru**** Good Luck, Toni

I had TT, LBL, HUGE hernia repair and a cyst removed on July 16th. Showering made me tired and faint but not really nauseous. I would take forever and then have to sit on the side of the tub when I got out to rest before I could dress. I just realized this morning that I haven't done that in two days so I guess I'm getting better. I'm tired of this whole recoup thing (as I ALWAYS get with surgery). I just keep hoping I'll feel more human when I get my drains out.
Good luck and just think how great we'll look soon.
