I HIGHLY recommend the Pregnancy After Weight Loss Surgery Board. There a a great bunch of gals over there who are a wealth of information! I am one of them! I had 2 post-op babies. I had RNY in 2004, and had a baby in 2007, and 2009 after trying for 12 years to have children! I just had a BR in May. There are women over there who have had tummy tucks and THEN had babies! I know myself, the 1st baby, I only gained 14 pounds the entire pregnancy, the 2nd one, I only gained 2 pounds the entire pregnancy!

Good Luck!

Congratulations!

I highly suggest that you see not only your OB/GYN but also a nutritionist familiar with WLSers needs AND a perinatologist, which is an OB/GYN who specializes in high risk pregnancies. Even though you may be healthy, you are at increased risk of both short term and long term (mostly nutritional) complications due to your rerouted intestines.

Again, congrats...and don't worry too much about your figure. You had skin removal only, so you should be ok.

I know quite a few people this happend to. They all have happy, healthy babies. Some gained a bit and kept the weight, some gained and lost, and some didn't gain at all. There used to be a pregancy forum...don't know if it is still there, but check it out if it is.

Blessings,
Rachel
