home and happy
I had my LBL Monday ,came home Tuesday and so far I am very happy. I think I am going to love my results. I still have lots of swelling but I am happy. I have had a good bit of pain especially getting up and down but other than that it hasn't been to bad. Today is the first day my mind has been clear. I have eased up on my pain meds and feeling pretty good considering. The only thing I am worried about is my rear , I am afraid there won't be one when the swelling goes down. I gues time will tell. My drains are not producing very much at all. I had planned to expect the worst so its been better than I thought it would be. I am keeping a positive attitude and looking ahead at how great my results will be.
I wonder will good results make me feel worse about my boobs and arms? I was leaning toward leaving them alone but now I am not so sure. Does one surgery lead to another?

I'm glad to hear you're happy with your results and everything is going well for you.
It is possible to become addicted to plastic surgery. I knew from the very beginning that I wanted everything done. So that's why I scheduled it the way I did. However, the day after the first surgery after seeing the results, if they would have said we can do the second one now - I would have said "LET'S GO!" I loved the results that much.
One of the reasons why I recommend therapy is because plastic surgery only fixes so much of our body image issues. There's something upstairs that we have to overhaul too. We need to come to terms with when we will be happy with ourselves and accept that "I could do more but why when I'm pretty damn good now.

Yes it did for me. After I had my LBL everything else just seemed so much worse to me. It's like I couldn't wait to take care of everything else. I nit picked things like crazy. Those 8 months waiting for round two seemed like forever. PS tends to do that to us.
When I had my LBL I had the butt auto augmentation because I knew I would have ended up with a flat butt. LBLs tend to do that if you don't already have some junk in the trunk.
I'm glad you are happy with your results already. It will just get better and better as the swelling goes away.

I see that you used the Baylor Of Medicine Residency program??? What all did you have done with them? And are you happy with your results?? I tried calling them this afternoon and no answer so I sent an e-mail, but I am going to call Monday morning and see if I can't get in for a consult. I am just curious, I had 2 consults today, but was curious about Baylor and their program. Any information would be great!
Thanks!

I loved Baylor! I had a breast lift, LBL with anchor cut, butt auto augmentation, arm lift with side of chest skin removal (under armpits), thigh lift, chin lipo, knee lipo, back lipo and an anchor cut revision. Split in 2 stages of course. They did a beautiful job I think. I know of 4 others that have used them since I had my surgery and they have all been very pleased. There is 1 or 2 more having surgery in the fall. I know they have been pleased because some of them have had their second round with them too. To me, that says a lot of their skills and aftercare. Well, price has a lot to do with it too. I'll send you an email with some info on it because you also have the option of having Dr Lomonaco help too if you are interested. I have all the numbers you need.

Hey Melissa, I just looked at your pics again and they look awesome. I have a question about the placement of your arm incisions. I know that Dr. Lo uses the same placement that you have and I was wondering if the scars are visible from behind. I'm sure you know that some Docs place the incisions on the inner aspect of the arm. I am concerned about this. Thanks dear.

Yes you can see them from behind. Well you can see them starting halfway down the arm. He prefers doing them that way for a couple of reasons. You can't see them at all from the front even with my arms extended out. I kind of wish I would have discussed the location a little better. But after a few months they should fade completely so it will be a non issue. My incisions have healed nicely and I don' t have any puckering anywhere. I do keep them covered while I am at work only because no one knows I've had surgery.
I've only gone swimming once and I was so self conscious of them that I just kept my arms down. At that point, it was the fact that my incisions ran down my arm down the side of my breast which made me keep them down. I didn't want to scare anyone! LOL Well, that and the fact that I don't want them to get any sun.

Great to hear you are home and happy with your results!
Now that I've have my lbl and boobs done, my arms do bother me more than I thought. It's kind of like when you get one new piece of furniture in a room, the other pieces start to look a little shabby. I'm evaluating now whether it's because my arms really are that bad, or if they just pale in comparison with my other, re-worked areas.
