Thanks,

Nina

I'm not sure I understand what you're describing.  Are you feeling something like a hard/tight lump or just the skin feels pulled tight but it's numb?

If it's the prior, the you want to call your doctor.  If it's the latter, it sounds normal.  Numbness can last a long time; it's part of the surgical process.  Parts of around where I was cut are back to normal and some still have that weird numb feeling.

Nina,
I feel the tightness from the muscle repair and the tightness from the skin.
The numbness will improve with time.  I am over 7 months out and still have some numbness but it is getting better.

I have a feeling that some of my numbness may never go away - but they told us that before we had surgery.  I had my LBL on November 2, 2009.  I hate the feeling but I like the results.

From my LBL in December 2009, I have numbness (especially around the back) and the weirdest feeling is when I itch.  It feels like the itch is under the skin.  When I scratch, I can't feel where my fingers touch the skin and it still itches.  I actually have to look to see if my fingers are touching my body.  Like I said - weird!  Deb
