Open Incisions?
Hi all,
Just curious, anyone else have open incisions in their arm pits. I have two very small holes under each pit and they are driving me crazy. The right one is okay, the left one is hurting much!
What did you do to treat them? The doctor asked me to put wash them twice a day with soap and water, put bacitracin on them and cover them. The process is so slow on closing up, I remember from last time.
I guess the pits are very common places for holes with the arm lift. :-(

Just remember not to overextend or pick up anything heavy. It's easy to do once you start feeling better. As long as the openings don't get bigger, I think it will heal okay. Those areas can be stubborn to heal because they are in the crease of the arm.
Good luck!
Good luck!

I have that on my right arm. The left arm is beautiful - scar is small, straight, no problems straightening the arm over my head. The right arm puckers at the elbow, has a larger ridge at the underarm, has a hole which I'm pretty sure is infected. I can not lift the right arm straight above my head (I feel like I'll rip everything if I do). And the other night the pain at my elbow was so bad I was crying - thankfully I had lots of pain pills - took two and still felt the pain but not as bad - it felt like I had a big darning needle inside. I sent the doc an email asking about the right arm and he said it was normal. I'll see him next week and see if he still thinks it's normal.
