My 6/17 procedures (long)

Ok....On 6/17 I had a medial thigh lift, bra line back lift, scar revision on arms, mons revision, left areola revision, outer thigh lipo, and neck lipo.  I got to the surgical center bright and early, got marked up, said my goodbyes (which I don't remember thanks to whatever the anesthesiologist gave me to relax..lol).  Well, 10.5 hours later I woke up.  Felt like I couldn't breathe (I think because of the throat irritation and tight neck strap).  When it was time to go to the revoery center, every time they transferred me, I passed out.  So, I get to the recovery center and as the tech is transferring me to the bed he did a big no-no.  I had stitches under my arms, which is where he lifted me.  All goes well..pain is minimal.  I have 7 drains (5 in mons area and two in my sides).  The nurse notices that one of my drains won't hold suction.  When the dr comes in, we figure out that when the tech lifted me, he ripped open part of my incision and one of the drains.  I end up staying an additional night just because I didnt feel ready to go home (if you get the chance the place I stayed has fantastic nurses..just wonderful).  The first few weeks of course are a blur.  I was able to stop taking pain meds three days out.  I was still taking one at night to help me sleep. but at that point I had no pain.  I was still having some difficulty getting light headed.  At my 1 week appt, we discover that my areola was becoming necrotic.  So immediately I am prescibed a nitro glycerine cream to be applied every 4 hrs.  I also have a cream for my open wound.  At my 2 week appt I got all drains out (the ones in the legs hurt like an SOB when removed) and started feeling better (of course).  Fast forward to 7/19...everything is great!  The necrosis is almost completly resolved, only a small scab is left, the open wound has new skin and will get an in-office fix, everything else looks fantastic (I didn't even bruise with the lipo).  I was really scared about getting the MTL because of all the horror stories, but I have had no problems with the legs at all (4lbs were removed from each leg).  Overall, even with a few bumps along the way, I am THRILLED with my results and continue to love my surgeon.  I'll be posting pics later this week.  Thanks for reading and all the support!

Glad to hear all is well now. You sure are going to be even more tiny after this round! What was wrong with your arms that you had to have them revised? Did the scars not heal well?

Hopefully the rest of your recovery will continue to go smoothly!

Thanks!  It is strange having been so big, to now being so small.  My arm scars spread a bit due to the tension of the brachio and still had not faded,  I have a pic on my profile.  They already look 10,000,000 times better..lol!  New pics to come

One of my arms has widened a tad bit but not enough to do a revision I think.  As long as it doesn't widen any more I think I'll be okay.  Did you think the scars would have faded by now?  I know some scars can take a year or more to fade.  Of course my arms are the ones I want to fade the quickest!

Hi April, wow, you had a bit of a rocky road there for a short while. I hope your arm revision scars are still okay after that no-no lifting mistake. I'm glad to read that you're thrilled - makes all this pain worthwhile.

I'm amazed that you had 4 pounds removed from each leg - wow that's a ton of weight. I can't wait to see your pictures when you post them.
