Flab under armpit?
I'm really hoping this is taken out with a breast lift!! I'll be watching the answers. That "oragami" skin probably bothers me more than the rest of my breasts. Kinda like a sharpei...
The PS I have consulted with talked about how some people have extra fat under there than can fill in the breasts instead of a BA. But apparently I have no extra fat there. Just skin.

I am two weeks out from a BA/BL and my surgeon did cut the skin under my bra area off. He did not expect to do it, but apparently I had more skin there then we realized before surgery. I did not know he would extend the horizontal scar almost to my armpit. He explained to me that during surgery it became obvious that this skin would bother me if not removed. I am glad he did it. The results are awesome.
I did all my plastics in two phases (see my sig for what I did when). For the first round he planned to remove some from under my arms (that would be the thoracicplasty). However, he did not remove all of the skin because he knew I wanted implants and he needed to leave some for expansion.
Everything on my upper sides looks the way he explained it too me. He didn't remove too much skin or leave too much.

Sometimes it isn't. You need to be sure and discuss this with your dr. Many people think it is taken care of with the breast lift but often it is not. Mine was taken care of with my arm lift. The incision ran down my arm past may arm pit to meet my horizontal incision under my breast. This area is called the auxillia and was listed as auxillia repair in my list of procedures.

I had a Breast Reduction/Lift and he did extend the scar to my sides - however it only helped. He told me I would need the arm lift done in order for it to help. I consider what I have as 'dog-ears' and I'm hoping I can just get that taken care of when I have my LBL done. Only time will tell - right now I'm not really happy with the results.
I had it removed when I had my brachioplasty (my scars go from my elbow, up my arm, through my armpit, and down along the sides of my breast). I also had the hair follicles and sweat glands removed at the same time.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
