I am still wearing  my binder. I go to see him again on Saturday, at which time he will let me know if I can stop wearing it.  He already told me that he is going to want me to wear Spanx after the binder comes off. Spanx are quite pricey, so I did find Flexees at Kohls, which are very similar and much more affordable. My surgeon told me these would be just as good. The higher the better if you had muscle tightening, as that is done much higher up on your torso.

I didn't have any muscle tightening, just the removal of excess skin.  I do have some panty girdles that a friend of mine gave me way back when that look like biker shorts. I thought about getting rid of them and I thought, nah, I will keep them, they may come in handy... and what do you know LOL

For my LBL and breast lift I had 2 drains in my mons area. First one was removed at 1 week and I didn't feel a thing. The second one I removed myself at 10 days and it didn't hurt either. Feels weird but didn't hurt. I had no drains for my arm lift or thigh lift but only had one in near my abdomen area which was for the anchor cut revision that was done at the same time. That one didn't hurt either. I have heard it hurting a little more for those that had them in for longer period of time.

Brave you are to remove your own!!LOL  I hear it does feel weird.  I had a drain back in 83 when I had my gall bladder removed.  They said take a deep breath and release and boom they pulled i out!  Guess that is what will happen!!

It was easy... I was scared @ st but he had them out in no time tho... BUT please don't take them out to early. I'm jus about 8 weeks out & I have fluid on one side of my tummy that he have to drain.... Sucks, but he said it will stop soon...

I won't be going until Friday for my appt so I know they won't be coming out early.  Wish you all the best with your progress!!

For me it depended on where the drains were.  The drains when I had the arms and breasts done didn't hurt at all.  The drains for the LBL and thigh lift hurt like a ***** when he pulled them out.  He does numb the area with a spray, but still.  As far as after...you will feel great!  Good luck!
