back fat! ?!
Hey everyone, how are you??
Quick question,
I am about 16 months out and my weight has been pretty stable. My biggest issue with excess skin is my back. Ironically, i figured its be my lower abdomen, and whatnot, and yes, i do have skin there and thighs and arms etc, but my back is where i seem to be having the biggest problem.
laying down, i pinch myself, because there is so much skin.
What I would like to know is, how do they fix back skin? Is there a procedure where they can cut you horizontally and pull it together? I have been exercising and now weight training, and its most likely not going anywhere. Is there a name for a back-tuck? lol
I'm completely clueless when it comes to plastic surgery, but would love some input, any input if you can offer it .
Thank you in advance! :)

I had my lower body lift in two parts. The first being the tummy tuck and then the back being a butt lift. I was cut horizontally acoss the low back and most of the excess skin and such was removed. However, in my case a good portion of the skin that would have normally been removed was "adjusted" to fill in my (then) pancake flat rear end.
The incision along the bra line is called an upper body lift. Lots of times the back skin can be improved with the lower body lift and maybe an anchor cut. There are some cases that can really only be fixed by doing the upper body lift. I have seen several people on here do the bra line incision. In fact I am thinking about doing that at some point in the future. I know some drs do the incisions along the sides of the body but that's rare. Most do them along the bra line.

Hey there,
I had the back rolls removed but I must say, I still have a small roll right under the bra. The roll that is still there is NOTHING Like what I had. I literally had skin I could pull 6 inches away from my body on my back. Now, I can't pull anything, but I still have a small roll there, Check out my pics!

I guess it depends where on your back the fat is. I had some excess skin that settled at the waist in the back. To remedy that, my surgeon did a "bra line" back lift. Basically an incision across the upper back is made, the skin is pullede up and, viola! All gone. Good luck!

I had the Upper Body LIft (bra line scar) along with my Brachioplasty. My scar starts at my elbo and goes all the way up my arm then down the side of my boobs then across my back to the other side. It got rid of my extra boobs that were hanging outside of my bra and the rolls on the upper part of my back.
