Hey everyone.

I just wanted to give you all another update.  I am 3 days out from a LBL and Inner thigh lift with lipo.  I must say that the pain is prett intense.  I have four drains and the right side is draining more.  The pain pills are helping somewhat.  Still fighting  nausea and trying to eat as much as possible.

I see my surgeon on Wednesday.  Hopefully things will be a lot better by then.  I am using the bathroom okay.  My whole body is really sore.  Had my first bird bath today and washed and dried my compression garment.  The smell was making me really nausea.

Will post more later.

Wow. That was a lot to have done at once. Well the thigh lift alone is no walk in the park those first few days so coupled with the LBL and lipo must be really painful! My thigh lift bothered me the most out of all my surgeries so I can definitely relate. Just take it easy and slow. At least you are 3 days out and the pain and soreness will lessen day by day. I remember when I had my first post op appt I told my dr how sore I was. I told him I was supposed to go back to work in 3 weeks and I didn't think I'd be ready. He told me that I would be amazed at the difference each week would make. Sure enough. I was sweeping my floors and doing light housework by 2 weeks out.

You had a good chunk of your body cut on so you have every reason to be sore all over. Every surgery makes me feel achey all over for some reason even if it wasn't cut on. Funny how that works.

Hang in there! It will get better!

Aloha OW-
Did your surgeon not use some kind of local anesthetic, like an OnQ Pain Blocker with your LBL? Mine was a Godsend- didn't even need many narcotics til the thing ran out of bupivicaine. He uses it on all his LBLs and I think some tummy tucks. It'sd also used on mastectomies. It was easy as the catheters feeding bupivicaine IN used the same drain holes that were draining OUT. If he doesn't use one,. you should introduce him to it for the next surgery. We use them on our surgical cases at work ( like limb  amputations)- and I'm a vet. Nonsense ( but I am proud) that my patients get better pain relief than human patients.
Hope you are feeling some relief. XOLori

Hey everyone.

I just wanted to give another quick update.  Feeling much better today.  I had my LBL and Medial Thigh lift with Lipo on July13th.  Everything seems to be doing much much better.

Still stiff and sore but where my drain incisions are and my other stitches are starting to itch really badly and I have quite a bit of swelling.  Keeping my salt in take down and my fluid levels up.  Sticking with jus****er mostly and of course Gatorade.

I really wish there was a way that I could recline in my bed but where these drains are it will be really hard.  I have two on my upper sides and two in my lucy region.

Both drain are putting out less than 200 CCs in a 24 hour peroid.   I think that is good considering that the color i getting lighter and that there is some tissue coming out as well.

The good news is I found out yesterday that my short term disability went through and that I won't miss a week without a paycheck.  Which is excellent.  THe only problem is that while I was going number two at least twice a day.  I haven' been at all today.  Will see about getting some miralax tomorrow.

Please everyon pray that my drains decrease enough that at least the two upper ones on my sides can come out!!

Thanks again for all the help.

My lift chair was a godsend when I had my LBL and thigh lift.  My bed was way too high and the lift chair worked great.  I didn't have to worry about the pillows sinking or moving on me plus the chair lifted me almost to a standing position.  Just something to consider.
