LBL Question -- what happens to the junk in the trunk?

Now this one. I stand and dream of "what will be" daily, pulling at the skin and fat from here and there in front of my full length mirror---yikes, I am so obsessed with one day I'll not have this here and that there. The one thing I can't figure out---I hope I can explain this right. I can see the skin so clearly hanging from the belly--the panni and the muffin. I can see the skin around the saddlebags. I know there is skin like that from the back, hanging off the tush---but I can't seem to see "how much" because my back itself doesn't look bad. So when I pull up from the back, is that the result I can *almost* expect? Can you envision what I am asking? I was told that just the tummy would be 10 - 15 lbs of skin by two separate doctors--no estimates on the how much from the back side. I know everyone is shaped different--but I would hope that a lot of those empty fat cells would be removed also.

I think I understand what you're asking.  As my ps was pulling my skin to show me the results during the consult, he explained that what he showed me would leave me with a flat butt.  However, if I opted for a gluteal augmetnation, some of the fat that he removed would redeposited in my butt to give it shape.  Based on what he lifted and how flat I was, I opted for the gluteal augmentation.

I had 7.5 lbs of skin removed from my stomach.

You'll more then likely end up with a flat ass this WAS my problem in looking for a surgeon.  I had the same as Lisa, my fat was flapped down or whatever and made into a FANTASTIC ass if I do say so myself!

I initially had a flat ass, you can see it in my pictures. However after a few months things settled and I do now have a butt show. I've actually been told by a guy (he's more of a butt guy) that I have a very nice looking butt. Was a complete shock to me b/c I was used to being flat as a board after surgery. But now when I look sideways in a mirror I can see that little bump going on in the back.

I think it also depends on what you had to begin with! I had a pretty big bootie at the start, and it still looks pretty darn good 4 weeks out... part of it's what God gave ya!

LOL Rhonda - I do the same thing.

I've been told by two surgeons that they will be able to make a nice butt - partly because I already have one under all the hanging skin due to my musculature and partly because they will use techniques to add in some extra tissue.

When you go for surgical consults, let them know you want to be curvy - it costs slightly more due to additional work.

Aloha Rhonda-

I was one of those unfortunate girls in high school with a curvaceous round boda - before it became fashionable to have a big solid booty ( my daughter is SO lucky to be born when she was considering her genes- baby got BACK!).

My PS warned me that my butt would flatten out- and I was not having any auto or other augmentation there. But I do lots of squats and lifting, and am pleased to say that my boda is still curvey - but solid muscle. The wrinkles around my outer thighs went away totally- and there was alot more improvement with the inner thigh wrinkles than I expected, so I'm really very happy. My butt does not look flat to me (or my husband) under clothes or otherwise. Only a thigh plasty would get rid of the inner thigh wrinkles, but I am thrilled with the improvement and won't go that route.

I will attach befores,  1 week post (my middle still swollen from surgery so fewer wrinkles below the butt) and 3 months post op so you can see the changes. I had a circumferential belt lipectomy and breast lift/aug done all at once.

BEWARE- saggy VSG buns ahead! LOL! XOXOLori
