Appeal for plastics...APPROVED!!!
The Mastopexy and Panniculectomy were denied by insurance in June...so I decided it couldn't hurt to appeal...exhaust my resources...although everybody who saw the way our insurance was worded, told me there wasn't much hope...but I heard that from a lot of people about even getting the DS approved in the first place....and the insurance approved my DS in less than a week too....on the first try...
Well, it took me a bit to gather all the information I needed and get it together in an organized well worded fashion...but finally last Thursday I submitted a 28 page appeals packet for the Panniculectomy and Mastopexy...the Panniculectomy was approved immediately...without even going to the appeals committee...and the mastopexy went to the appeals committee and less than a week later was approved....YAY!!!...
So it will probably be scheduled for mid September...and they will be doing the breasts tummy and arms all at once...I'm excited...and so completely nervous that it was hard to actually think yesterday when I got the news....lol. I'm also totally in awe of the entire journey/process that has even gotten me to this point. My weight fluctuates about 4 lbs...between 133 and 137....and is staying put right there...has been for some time...so I think I'm as low as I'm going to get before removing the skin...and I couldn't be happier or more amazed....my body has started to shift a bit...and settle more naturally into place....that's made for an interesting journey...but also making me realize how uneven things were as I was losing before....the good news though is that things are actually settling into the places that will be removed with plastics...so I'm pretty excited that the "excess" is all congregating to the same location...lol.
Anyway, thanks so much everyone for all the help....
