Arm Lift ?
Ok I had one round of plastics in Feb which was a tummy tuck....now I really want to do my arms...can anyone shed some light on how long they were out of work? My job is pretty easy and would have help if I needed to reach or anything heavy...also if anyone has any pics I could see that would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance :)

Hey there,
I am 2.5 weeks out from my arm lift revision. So, I have done this twice. I am a teacher and I know I couldn't work yet. My Arms are pretty tight and they swell and get sore. Also, I have two little openings in my arm pits (which is rather common) so I am trying not to reach, etc.
I think you should go for it!

Mommyteacher, I too am a teacher. What do you teach? Luckily I'm off for the summer. I am 12 days out from my surgery, and I gotta say, I am glad I have the summer off. My arms swell and are sore. However if you have a sitdown job and people willing to help you carry heavy things, I would say two weeks may be good. You would just be uncomfortable. I got the ok to exercise and jogged/walked 2 miles yesterday and my arms didn't feel any different than if I were just sitting there. But you should definitely talk to your dr. and see what he says.
I'm off work for 6 weeks and glad of it. I'm 3 1/2 weeks out, still experiencing some pain which is worse when I do anything where I use my arms such as type, brush the dog, little things. Actually you don't realize that you use your arms for everything - even walking - until you can't use them at all. Don't get me wrong - the pain is manageable and I only take a pain killer when I go to bed - just glad not to have to worry about work at the same time I'm worried about healing.
