A successful Lower Body Lift

Just wanted to come by and say thanks to this board.

Last Thursday I had a very successful body lift and some of it had to do with reading what all you great people had to say and steps to follow before and after.

I amazingly shaved off 20lbs of fat and skin and was able to get up and walking well in 4 hours.   Ever since then I've been sitting up or walking, barely lieing in bed at all.

Of course my pain pump ended last night, so am dealing with just a tad more pain now...  But manageable.    It is really like thousands of needles are poking me..  Ouch!

Anyways, I am just a lurker mainly, but wanted to say thanks for all the  informative post you all make to folks.    It has helped me greatly.

I absolutely agree with you that this is a very positive forum for people at this point in the weight loss journey.  Without those who have gone before us, many of us would still be lost in the sea of information. 

I encourage you to post more often to share your expiences so that others may benefit from  you too!  You've got a lot to offer here.

I live in Atlanta and am looking into plastics soon. Who was your plastic surgeon and would you recommend him/her so far? I am not sure of the plastics docs who specialize in post WLS issues in Atlanta.

Hi Bethany,

Your fears were my fears when it came to Atlanta and plastics...  So I went to one of the plastic capitals of the world.   Scottsdale Arizona to get mine done.   I was lucky to have some relatives who live out here and am using their place while they are gone for the summer.

I would HIGHLY recommend my surgeon, he was incredibly nice, understanding and good.    I have recently found out that seems to be the mass majority with his patients as well as the hospital staff who were taking care of me.    I heard nothing but praise from them as they asked who did my surgery.

Sorry can't be a help with Atlanta, but if you be willing to go outside the state I definitely know a great one :)

We have an excellent DR here in Alabama which is about 2 hours from you ,,,,I have used him for all my procedures and he is excellent ...

Dr. Guerra in Scottsdale.    Highly recommend him.   Free consultation and he won't try to sell you anything other then what you want.   I told him I just wanted a lower body lift and that is all we talked about the whole time.    I also had about 30 questions for him, and he listened to everyone and answered everyone.    Never got the pushy emails or phone calls like some other surgeons either.
