I had ext tt, bl/ba in a private OR in the surgeons office at the end of February. Surgery took 5 hours and I went home that afternoon. He had me fill all of my pain meds prior to surgery so that they were ready at home. My DH stayed with me the first couple of days and it was a fabulous experience. Went back to work after 10 days with drains in place. Drains were the worst part of the whole thing -YUCK! Good Luck!

Hope your day is great!

Thanks for making me feel much better!  My surgery is scheduled for August 10 and I've heard that my surgeon has a really nice OR room in his facility.  My best friend had her BA there and said its exactly like a regular OR room.  My surgeon also requires someone with me for the first 24 hours, and I do have that (actually the whole first week).  I will also have all my meds filled before surgery.

My only comment is to discourage people from going to a hotel after surgery.  They are too germy for that.  I am sure you will do very well.  Loris
