So, today, I decided to wrap my arms in ace bandages. They were so badly puckered and swollen. My surgeon is not having me put any compression on them yet. But I tried it. I wore the ace bandages for 30 minutes.....and took them off because I was really itchy, but boy, oh boy, my arms had barely any puckering! It made me feel so good! lol!

Stupid question....how come Doctor says no compression??  I woke up from surgery in an arm compression garment.  Just curious!

I am not sure....just his way I guess. I had one ordered that  his nurse ordered but he told me that he had pulled me so tight he didn't think the extra compression was necessary. I guess different docs do things different. I had one with my lipo. :-)

Every doctor has different protocols for what they believe to be right.  My ps uses compression but not some of the full compression garments that I see others post about here - basically ace wraps for the extremities and an ab binder for ab work.

It's all about how they are trained, to what schools of though they subscribe and mixed in with what each individual patient needs.

My arms are tightly wrapped in bandages. I have to leave them like this for a total of 9 days. I cannot wait until Monday when I see the doc to take them off!
