I'm not sure about the stinging...but I am 4 weeks out tomorrow and the coughing/sneezing pain has gotten better. It doesn't hurt nearly as much.  I asked my doctor about it last week and he said a couple months before it doesn't hurt at all. Good luck to you

When you cough or if you know you're going to sneeze, hug a pillow across your abdomen.

Unless I cough deeply, I don't hurt anymore.

I am almost 5 weeks out and I am still swollen a bit in my pubic region and in my tummy along the incision. I do get the stinging thing when I streatch too far.

Hugging a pillow is a great way to help with the sneezing/coughing pain.

It gets BETTER the farther out you get for sure!

Ihave breast implant surgery scheduled for July 28. I'm considering a tummy tuck too but don't have a lot of time saved up at work. How long is a reasonable amount of time to stay off from work for both surgeries? My job is sedentary.

I had my TT done two weeks ago, and when the doctor first told me to make sure I had two weeks off from work, I thought he was crazy.  I am fortunate to work at home, but thought no way would I need that long - I was in Disney World 10 days after my RNY!

Today is 2 weeks, and I think if I had a desk job that required me to be sitting up 8 hours, I would be glad to still be off.  I think I could have done it after a week if I absolutely HAD to, but for a person who never takes pain meds, I was still taking one or two a day up until 3 days ago after this surgery.

It's not an easy recovery by any means.  I have had 3 c-sections, my RNY, and bowel obstruction surgery, and I think this is the longest I've felt down and out.

Thanks for your response Anna! It sounds like TT recovery is not something to take lightly. I'm going to wait until I have more time off to do that procedure.
