I am having joint pain in my hands and knees alot lately could it have anything to do with my LBL? I did not have this before surgery . Also my tailbone hurts so bad that some times it takes a few min to get up and moving anyone having these problems and what are you doing if you are?  don't know what to take for this I hate to run to the Dr for something that I hope will just go away.

Joint pain?  I don't have joint pain from the surgery; I do have muscle pull-type pain in my lower arms which is attributed to the arm lift I had.

As for your tailbone, if you're laying on your back or elevating just your head, you're putting  a lot of pressure on your tailbone.  Try elevating your feet too.  If you're in a recliner, put a firm, small pillow under the backs of your thighs to help lift you.

You should also check with your doctor about the joint pain and for advice on what to take.

I broke my tailbone in 2002 and it took about a year for it to quit hurting. I just had my LBL in April and my tailbone has been bothering me ever since. It's finally starting to let up (2 months later). No joint pain.

I had my LBL almost a year ago and my tailbone hurts. I'm w/ you that it is sometimes difficult to stand because it hurts so bad. It doens't feel horrible everyday. Lately I've noticed that if I wear a dress or skirt it hurts more, must be the way I sit on it. Today it is just killing me sitting at my desk.

I haven't had a lower body lift (yet) but I do have that issue with my tailbone. It has gotten better, but I have to watch how I sit. I have to get up slowly otherwise my tailbone hurts like heck! I wonder if it has to do with the lack of fat to cushion it? I can feel my tailbone through my skin now. I wonder if that's normal?

It seems alot of us have this problem after we lose a large amount of weight . Mine did not start until after my plastic surgery. Now I look and feel like I walk like and old lady oh well. I guess I will be talking to my Dr about this soon. Thanks for the reply
