Not to be a photo***** but because this was the first day I saw my legs without all the dressing, I wanted to post new pictures.

I took the camera with me to my follow up appointment and DH took the pictures while the nurse prepped me for the doctor.  She asked if I send them to my family - I said my sisters and mom yes, my brothers no.    I did send one picture to my oldest brother because he asked but I made sure I blocked out everything a brother didn't need to see.  lol  He was curious about the incisions for the LBL.

I told her that I do post them here and so do many others so that we can all help each other through this process.  She was quite impressed with the community we have here.

So the new pictures show my legs, I'm standing weird them and the one leg still looks like there's extra skin there, but both are very nice looking.  I'm so darn happy.  I can't imagine how happy I'll be once the swelling goes down.

Just amazing! I am still awed by your bravery- I am 4 weeks out from a lbl and ba/bl tomorrow, and there's no way I would be ready for another round right now. You are the Iron Woman!

You look incredible!  It's hard to believe you had surgery just a couple of days ago.

How much are you still draining?

Yesterday it was about 100 cc's per drain.  Today it's much higher, around 175 cc per darin so far.  I might empty them one more time before bed time.  Today there was a lot of activity for me, walking etc.

And thank you.  Thanks to everyone for the compliments.

Thanks again everyone.

Moosie & Anonbarbie... I have 3 older brothers - being tough is a requirement with them.
I will say that going this aggressive isn't for everyone and I always knew that if I needed to, I could always push out the second surgery.  I had great communication with my ps and his office staff and never felt like there wasn't anything I couldn't ask them.  He did tell me at the first consult when I asked if this schedule was feasible, he said that he has a lot of patients want to do it this way but very few actually do because the first procedure takes a lot out of them.  I would only recommend going this aggressive IF the person asking was smart enough to listen to their body and have the strength at the last minute to say, no not ready.  KWIM?

You ladies got me thinking about my siblings now... I'm getting kinda reflective. I need to write some of these thoughts down.

You are going to look great once you are all healed and the bandages are gone. You must be so thrilled!
