Thanks, my belly looks good can't wait to see it without swelling!
Swelling varies by person. Some don't swell much or for very long and I saw someone post a while back who was 3 years out and still swells occasionally. That's rare though. But most drs will tell you it can take 6 months to a year. I'm a year out from my LBL and I still swell some. Nothing like early out though and probably not noticeable to anyone but me.
You are early out so it will probably get worse before it gets better. Just drink plenty of water and keep your feet way up when you are resting. It will eventually subside.

my06 is correct, it varies by person.
I had an LBL and arm lift and had very little swelling and it went away fairly quickly. A month later I had a thigh lift and breast lift/aug and have lots of swelling. It's mostly in my mons/groin area.
I'm not sure if this is related or not, but my ps and I had a good discussion about the jp drains and the lymph system and why the legs were always huge outputters of drainage. When I left his office I did some research on foods I could add to my diet that would help promote drainage - basically natural diruetics. I have since started adding lemon juice to my water and having a serving of pineapple juice a day. I started that on Tuesday. My swelling has gone down considerably and my drain output, especially in my right leg has doubled. My bruising has also decreased considerably too.
I am keeping an eye on my right leg drainage and if it's still running high I'm calling the doctor - but this is what I'm seeing from adding the lemon and pineapple juice. I've also been more ambulatory as well.
To help keep myself sane with the swelling and the effect on the scale I have to remind myself that this is part of the process and as long as I manage my food, I'm going to be okay.
