I have the weirdest belly button!

I am too obese to have a tummy tuck. And too poor, lol! I had only a Panni done. I had every complication and more. Only thing else that could have gone wrong was to die. I am 2 months post-op tomorrow. I am not that bad now. Just about over everything. My belly button looks so stupid!  It is right above my women part. No joke! It is suppose to be in the middle of your body. WEIRD!

I'm so sorry! But I bet it feels great to have that flap of skin removed!

Hopefully you will finish healing and get well from this surgery. It's too bad that with a basic panni removal that they don't give you a belly button that looks appropriate. It's sad but you had the most basic operation to address health issues due to the overhang and not a more expensive procedure that allowed for reconstruction. I hope your surgeon explained this to you so you were prepared for that results.

Maybe, when you're feeling better you can have it excised in the doctor's office? I would presume it would be a minor proceedure - but I'm just guessing. There are other's who have had this proceedure that end up with no belly button.

They use to get me mixed up with other people and it was always me calling them back long distance. It took longer then usual to get approved from OHIP too. They seem at one point to have (had) forgotten about me. I never did see the surgeon before surgery, which, I found very strange. So nothing much was discussed about the surgey. I never knew that could be done about putting the belly button back. I am seeing him tomorrow (not for me),but, will ask him about that. Thank You so much for the info. I will also ask how much a TT would cost and belly button.

sorry to hear you didn't get what you wanted
there would have been no way I would have gone under the knife with out speaking in detail about what was going to be done. I had to pay some extra but wasn't bad and well worth it

I just had the breast done and they cost me but I'm worth it
Get to see the results next week when the bandages come off

I hate to be so blunt but I guess you didn't take Terri's advice. The first thing he said to me when I was starting this journey to a new life was to make sure I had my head in the right place.
I know you have been told many times to look into this and I really wish you would have.

Bonnie, Thank You for reminding me of this. Sometimes we forget or life or (and) problems get in the way. I needed to be reminded of this. I don't have a good memory and when I am with my Mom & Dad ( not to make an excuse) they argue and I forget to ask things. I now try to write it down before I go and try to remember the question list. In the front the scar is still wanky. The sides it looks really good. My female area is so big and looks like lose sagging and it looks like a males top private part,LOL! :) I am silly. Plus my belly button is right on top of the female private part. I am trying to find happiness and get my health better and do something with my life.  i really, truely am sorry for everything. My life got real bad and I was listening to a negative person and I blamed and took it out on the wrong people. I have suffered for my wrong. My swelling has gone down half way. And I have lost half the weight I have gained since Panni surgery. So I am half way there. Then I will need to loose the 15 pounds I have gained in the year and a half. I am admitting and trying :). All my best to you !
