Last dose of iron
This morning I had my last iron infusion. The two doses this week were rather painful. It's not like me to have a problem with needle sticks but these infusions were the worst.
Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment to put my bridge in, then Friday...I have my second phase of plastics.... boobs and thighs!

The funny thing is that technically I didn't need the infusions, but my ps wanted to be a little more conservative with me since my levels dropped more than he expected them too. I mean before my pre-admission testing for the first surgery I was eating very iron rich food. My hemocrit was very high, but dropped more than it normally should after the first one.
So before all the infusions, my hemocrit was on the low end of normal. He didn't want to take a chance of it dropping too low. The backs of my hands hurt like anything; I've been putting moist heat on them so they're better so now they're just tender. I'm hoping that when I go to the hospital and they start IVs they go for the forearms... and I'm going to tell my ps to help guide them in that direction.
