Abs?

I am having a Lower Body Lift with the vertical in a couple months.  I work out a lot and have pretty low body fat (or so I am told) and Work out quite a bit.  I wonder if after the surgery and the swelling goes down if people have been able to see the work they put into those abs?  If so, how long does it take to get the swelling down to see muscle definition?

I am not a big ab workouter but my abs are tight as can be. I can see them for sure. The doctor tightened my muscles when I had my tummy tuck and two years later, they are still awesome!

I am 3 weeks out today, and I did a ton of ab work beforehand. While I don't have quite a 6 pack (don't know that I ever will) there is definite definition and more is appearing as the swelling is settling down.

I haven't had lbl yet either but when I lie down I can already see my muscles.  Haven't seen those little beggars since I was in highschool and did gymnastics.  Good luck to you.  I think you are very smart in getting everything lined up a head of time.

Whether you work your abs or not before surgery, it sure will look like it after your muscles have been tightened! After all they really can't get any tighter than having them pulled in close surgically. If you are really skinny then they may be more pronounced especially if you have built up your obliques as well. I have also seen a handful of cases where some women's abs were already tight and they didn't have to have any muscle tightening once the surgeon was in there. Those may have been women who may not have had multiple pregancies.
