Well I went for mu consult 6.18.10 with Dr. Kahler in carrollton ga. He and his staff we very nice and helpful with answering all my questions, and I mean I brought in alot of questions I had typed up before I went. The consult went very well. I have 25lbs more to lose then I will be at my ideal healthy weight. I am planning to get the TT done some time in 2.2011 when its cold. I will also have to save up some more money since the total was alittle higher than I anticipated. I will then do the BR and TL some time after the TT in 2011. This will all depend on my work and money. The TT will cost me a global fee of $8800.00. I have only have $6400.00 saved so far and some of that will be financed so I have $2400.00 more to go and then I will have to put back alittle more for the preop meds that the global fee doesnt cover. O LORD help me. They want all the $$ upfront before the surgery. I hope I can come up with it with out going into debt.

Any and all advise welcome. Before and after pics as well.

Thanks so much!
Casey

I enjoyed reading your post as I'm going for my first consult later this week. Glad to hear it went well. It seems like your PS isn't telling you that you have to be at a stable weight for x amount of months? Did he say how much excess tissue you will have removed in your TT?

I'm sorry it's a little more than you expected, but the good news is that you have time now to work on saving that extra money - maybe a part time job?

I'm not certain what BR and TL are - is that a breast reduction and total lift of the breasts? Would your insurance cover a breast reduction - that would help pay for most, if not all of the procedure?

Thank you so much. If only I could get a part time job that would help out so much, but theres not enough time in the day, lol. BR  is Brest reduction and my insurance wanted to have more tissue removed than I wanted. They would pay for it if I went down to a size A to B cup and I am not prepared to go from a DDD to A or B cup anytime soon. The TL is Thigh Lift. I have alot of skin to be removed everywhere, but I dont remember hearing him say how much of it. I have an apron for a tummy. He is supposed to send me a break down of what happend, measurements, and what was said from my consult so I can have it on file for when I am ready. My insurance wont cover a TT even if it was life threatening, but they will cover a panni. I need muscle tightening and skin removal so that panni would not work for me.

He did say he wanted me close to my weight loss goal as possible, cause you dont want to have to go for a revision.

Now all I need to do is get that money saved. =)

You will have to let me know how your consult goes.

Do you think you could have insurance pay for the BR and Pani and you pay the difference to your surgeon for the augmentation and Muscle Repair?  I'm getting the breast reduction covered and my PS will be emailing me a quote for the implants that I will self pay.  Either way, I'm sure it's less than having the entire procedure out of pocket.  Couldn't hurt to ask. :)

Thanks I will check into that. I never thought about that since they never gave me an option like that.
