Arm and Breast Lift

Good Evening Everyone!  I had an arm and breast lift last Friday.  I am doing well and the whole process was relatively pain free.  If you have had the arm lift, can you tell me if you had puckering along the incision line and when it began to go away.

I had my arms done on 5/28 in my first phase.  There's a little bit of puckering closest to my elbows where the drains went in, but the rest of my incisions are smooth.  My ps has me using a silicon-based scar cream to help with the fading and it seems to be working.

Hi Lisa!  Thank you so much for responding.  Can you tell me the name of the cream>  My surgeon told me I can begin to use a topical scar cream and recommended one but it can only be purchased on line.

It's called biocorneum.  I checked their website to see where I can buy it near me, but it appears to only be available through a doctor's office.  Grrr.  Someone awhile ago posted a link to another silcone based scar cream... not sure how hard it would be to find that link.

I did have puckering where the stiches were along the incision line. It went away gradually...I'd say maybe 2 or 3 weeks out is when I noticed it improving.  I'm about 5 weeks post arm lift  and there is still a little puckering closer to my elbow and each arm but I am confidentit with smooth out as the rest has. Congrats on your surgeries.

I had mine 5-27 and yes I too have puckering especially at the elbow.
I suspect this is normal and will resolve in time....if not I will proudly have puckered elbows! lol beats batwings any day!

I just had my arms done June 9th.  I don't see any puckering but my arms are swollen and I still have the butterfly strips on the entire incision line.  There may be puckering.  I go in on the 22 and hopefully he will take off the butterflys so I can see.  I have to say my arm lift is not pain free, they sting like the devil hope this is normal.  Good luck to you, sounds like you are doiing great!!

I had slight puckering at a couple places along the incision but they smoothed out after a couple months and now I notice that those are the 'tightest' spots on my arms so what looked 'strange' now looks the best.

First of all, congrats on having it done. I had my breast lift & arms done January 2009. I too had some slight puckering, especially around the lower part of my arms nearing the elbows. But after all the swelling went down the puckering went away. I am so pleased with my arms and abet small but well formed perky breasts. I couldn't be happier. I am wearing tank tops these days and altho I am 55, the upper half looks like a teenager. I hope to have my lower half done perhaps next year. I know it will be a major surgery and I want to enjoy what I have for awhile before more surgery. I have horses and want to ride them.  Best of luck, enjoy
