4 Week Update
Thrilled thrilled thrilled.
I had two minor things for my ps to take care of from the surgery on 5/28 - one of the plastic sutures under the skin in my arm pit migrated it's way to the surface and he needed to pluck it out. Otherwise, they just dissolve. The other issue was I thought I had a seroma but it's just a bit of fluid under the incision. He pressed on it today and nothing came out, he did mention that in that area there are some open incisions (scabbing over) and that while I'm out for the surgery next week, he'll do a quick scar revision then.
He checked all my incisions. I no longer have to wear compression wraps on my arms. WOOHOO sundress here I come!
Then we talked about the surgery for next week. He explained the thighs which didn't seem that much different than the arms. The big discussion was about my breasts. He explained that with the size I'm going with he's not going to do that much of a lift and wait and see how the implants drop to see if he needs to do a lift. If it is required, then it would be minor and can be done in his office.
While we were talking boobs, he looked through my chart for my pictures he took at the consult so he could better explain what he needed to do. Of course these were full body shots and just seeing what my stomach use to look like compared to now... unbelievable. I mean, I know what I looked like before - but to see almost completely nude pictures (I had the standard clinical string bikinis on) was just so shocking.
After the appointment with him, I headed over for my second round of iron infusions. Normally, I don't have a problem with needles, but they really try do do the sticks in the back of the hands... I hate having the IVs in my hands. But I only have two more infusions to do next week.

Hi Lisa. I'm new to the plastic surgery forum and am planning on having surgery in December if all goes well(I lose 12 more lbs, financing is secured, etc). I will be 40 Dec. 19th and this would be a gift to myself, the 12lb loss as well as the surgeries. I'd like to have an arm lift and tummy tuck but am goign to read through the posts on here to see if I should be considering other surgeries like LBL.
Anywhoo...I wanted to say "send those shrugs on over my way!" LOL! I am a regular poster on WETEO post (WAtcha EAting Today EveryOne). IT used to stand for Watcha EAting Today Early Outs but those of us orignal posters are now 2+years out. Our group shared clothes our first year out because we were all different sizes. We sent big boxes of clothes all over the country. My clothes went to North Carolina and I received clothes from two women in VEgas. We just reimbursed the postage. IT was awesome! But now we are all pretty set in our sizes. It gets so hard to lose after 2 years. LUckily I just lost 2lbs last week. So I'm motivated to lose and am counting down to my birthday 185 days.
Hope your recovery goes well and your next surgery goes well.
Lisha

Oh lord that made laugh, about punching them. I will remember that and buy myself some cute sundresses and sleeveless tops and punch people if they say anything about my arms. Such a shame to live in Hawaii and never go sleeveless.
Thanks for being so open about your experience it has been such a big help!
Take care,
Ole
