Scared to ask...Mex. PS???

So here is the deal...  I have been a lurker!  I have looked at all your pics, read all your posts & I am still so torn as to what I should do...
Without giving all the details here is my short story.  Want to have PS in September. I have 2 areas that I do not want to have to chose between.  Stomach & boobs.  I have had several consults.  Local & Mx PS. I have a local dr I love & the 2 procedures are 16,500. I got a couple quotes from Dr.'s in Mx. 1/2 the price & I could afford to get more done. My budget is 12K. It is a miracle that I even have that much (long story how I even have that).
Dr. Q from Cosmed can give me a LBL & the BL/BA for around 10K. I don't want to compromise on the TT to get the LBL. My local Dr. here says that is usually the case.  Dr. Q & Dr. S in Mx. recommend the LBL. But, my Dr. here would only 2 it in 2 different surgeries. So there is no way I would ever be able to get the back done.  Dr. S is out of the equation for 2 reasons.  I have a daughter with special needs & I do not want to be that far away & for that long.  I am also not seeing flat TT w/o anchor cuts lately on his board. I do not want that nor do I think I need it.

Rambling I know... Here are my questions.  I know some people have had good & bad experiences in Mx & in the states.  But, I would like to hear if anyone has recently used Dr. Q at cos-med?  Does anyone have pics w/ him? I also want to know how many people had LBL & are 100% happy w/ it & do not have an inverted butt or revision needed?  I would rather be saggy than have an inverted boodie!

I want to get all that I can for what I can afford, but I do not want to sacrifice results.  I have been told I am "skinny" even by all the PS, so I do not feel like my case would be a huge challenge.  But, you just never know.  I would love to be able to just have the money & feel comfortable using our savings plus more we do not have to  have my local PS do the surgery. But, the fact is I am making a huge sacrifice by spending this money on myself.  I feel guilty (I know I shouldn't), I want the best result, but I also want to get as much done as I can afford.

If I was to do the surgery here, there is a chance I would only be able to do the BL/BA & I think I would be happy to have it done.  But, I would be devastated to leave the part of my body unrepaired that bothered me most my entire life (my abdomen). It bothers me even if other people always tell me it's not that bad!

WOW HUH? I know I sound manic & unsure of what help I am asking for. OK,  I am asking for any & as much input from you all.  I think I have at least narrowed it down to Dr. Q or my local PS.  But, I need to see & hear some recent good referrals on LBL & BL/BA.  Then you all can chime in on what ever else you want!

Thank you in advance, I know ultimately I have to make the decision I am most comfortable with.  But, the variables are tuff! ;-)
Thanks again!
P.S.  I added pre plastics pics... eek!  I am really putting myself out there, but maybe someone will see a similarity or the pics will help u to see what I am up against!  thank the lord for clothes!!! :-) The password is- preop

I have seen dr S. work & it looks great. I am not a patient of his. I had my PS done in the states. please pick a PS by ability and NOT COST. before you decide to go out of the country fo PS make sure you have a back up here like your PCP who will help u wih drain removal & such or in case you get a seroma that has to be drained

I agree with Susan.  I flew to TJ to have a consult with Dr Q.  I  came SO close to booking my surgery before I found out about the Residency programs.  I am so very glad I didn’t.  Shortly after I had my first surgery I started reading posts about how unhappy people were with Dr Q.  Just make sure you do all your research before you decide and do have a dr. lined up to do your follow up.  I would also recommend you find the nearest medical school and look into the residency programs.  It’s worth a consult at least.  It doesn’t mean you have to have surgery with them.  At least with the schools I met with you could have done the work you want done for less than $12k.  Plus you get all the aftercare, revisions and Cosmetassure insurance included.

Also, you may want to do even more consults to see if you can find a dr that will do the LBL.  Some drs just aren’t confident or experienced enough in their abilities to do the whole LBL at once. About half the drs I met wouldn’t do it together.  I was like you, if I hadn’t done it all at once, I would have never had the chance to do the backside.  Knowing how I am, I would have regretted looking at myself in the mirror and WISHING I had done the whole thing at once.  Luckily I just kept researching and consulting until I found what worked for me.

P.S.  I'll try to find the names of some that posted about Dr Q.

I will look into the residency programs.  We do have a big teaching Hospital here in Sacramento.  I do not know what they would charge.  But, they did my spinal surgery & I know a resident did most of it with the attending helping.  It went great.  I am just not sure they give discounts.  But, my back was through insurance...so I really do not know.  I am just so excited, I hope I find the right doctor for me at a price I can afford without leaving the country.  It is hard being away on vacation when my daughter has a nurse to take care of her let alone being out of the country under the knife!  Thanks for the suggestions.

I hope you find something too.  I can understand not wanting to be away from your family for so long.  I was afraid I was going to have to as well but I didn't have to thank goodness.   I really hope it works out for you.

I agree about the residency programs. I had an extended TT done at KU Med Ctr PS Residency program and I think it was the best money I ever spent. I have a T incision but I wanted that because I wanted the excess taken from side to side also. It also helped my mons area and slightly on upper thighs. I was a semi thin person - only lost 110 pounds - and I stayed the same weight for 3 1/2 years before TT.
Check it out. Res program was 1/2 of local doctors.
I have to drive 4 hours each way but still a bargain.
Keep researching.

The 2 areas that bothered me the most were my tummy (had the mommy apron of skin/far since I was 16 and had my first child)  and my line backer bat wings!

I chose to have a maxi TT (it is an anchor cut, muscle tightened and my FUPA is no more) he did lipo on my side boobs and flank and the upper arm lift with lipo.

My butt  may be saggy and my thighs jiggly and my boobs look like a 43 yrs old! but by gosh I don't have bat wings or a mommy apron or FUPA anymore and my VS biofit bra make me have a killer rack!

I feel like that 13k was the best money I have ever spent on ME and would do it again in a heartbeat.

I had 3 consults and once doc tried to talk me into a LBL, he put the hard sale on for that procedure, but it was just not for me.

Bottom line you have to do what  you can afford, work with what you have and realize nothing is ever perfect. "We" (that is a collective We) let our bodies go and stretched them and abused them for years in most cases, and no Doc is a miracle worker! Don't set up unrealistic expectations no matter who you chose or what op you pick.

Ok now I am rambling!
Good luck to ya!

FYI  FUPA= fat upper ***** area

You are freaking HILARIOUS w/ your FUPA!!!
I looked at your post op pics...OH MAN!  I know that face...that is true pain!  But, you are looking great & feeling better I hope?  I loved your profile, the music & pics...so cute.  Did you end up going local?
I totally went into my local PS office today & tried on implants in my bra.  OMG!  It looked so good I can't even wait!  With the big boobies my tummy looked smaller.  But, I still want it cut off! ;-)
Like you said we all have our "areas" & those 2 are top on my list.  The heck with the rest of it!  I am not trying to be a VS model...although if I was rich I could just with A LOT OF scars!  I did this & now I can only fix what I can afford.
Thanks for the input.  Keep me posted on how your healing goes :+)

I went with a local to OKC PS, I consulted with 3 and he was by far the most professional, kind and caring doctor. He staff is fantastic as well.

I am healing pretty well, I am somewhat of a slow healer. And since I am the Princess and don't have to do anything but what I darn well want to I can milk it for as long as I want to! LOL Hubby spoils me rotten.

I will say once the TT was done and my arms done my HOOTERS look HUGE and wow inside my VS bra, a lil saggy without it, but I wear a sports bra most of the time when I am not wanting to look like a hott nana!

Hello... just wanted to chime in... I had the lbl with BA/BL done with Dr.F at cosmed and although my upper abd didn't look so good my LBL was perfect! I did end up having another TT with extensive lipo to my back and sides.. boy do I look great! (at least my hunny tells me so!) My girls look huge now that the back sides and upper abd look like their supposed to!
